Arts Education Programming:
ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAMS in Music, Visual Art, Drama, Dance, Theatre, Film and Literary Arts are taught by professional artists, with educational experience and expertise. Workshops that implement and reinforce Common Core Standards, State Learning Standards, and the NYC Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts can be tailored to fit your school’s schedule, budget and individual needs. ASSEMBLY PROGRAMS are interactive, unique presentations that capture the students’ imaginations and stimulate learning through a fresh, fun-loving approach and plenty of audience participation. Topics include Global Awareness, Music, Theatre, Dance and Character Education. Many of our residencies and assemblies can be arranged outside school hours and scheduled in conjunction with Family and Community Programs. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT in all art forms provides teachers with challenging and inspiring workshops. They help make connections between various art forms and curriculum areas, and can be customized to fit your school schedule. The LEROY NEIMAN ART CENTER in Harlem has a wide range of exciting programs in their state of the art spacious classrooms. Daytime, after-school and weekend programs are available for all ages. School field trips and exhibition space for your class is also available.
